Songbird 1.2 Crash on Fedora 11 when playing Music
I launch songbird, and everything works fine, i have no add-ons or feathers installed, but as soon as i click on a song to play it, i see the album artwork change and hear about a second of music before Songbird crashes. I'm running Songbird 1.2 on Fedora 11

Right, i think I've sorted it anyway now, I've stripped it of everything but the program itself, and i uninstalled and reinstalled pulseaudio.
I'm gonna try adding some plug-ins now
Installed lyric master plugin and crashed instantly...

Is that the right thing I'm supposed to submit?
Right, now finding out that mashtape seems to crash it. All other add-ons work fine that i have installed, but loading up mashtape crashes it in seconds -
Inappropriate?Similar here: SB 1.2.0 on F11 seems to crash quite quickly with the mashtape pane open, but is otherwise fine (with mashtape still enabled too). Interestingly Eye of Gnome (Fedora/Gnome's default image viewer) is also quite unstable in F11 for me, so I have a suspicion that this is something to do with image libraries on the distro.

Inappropriate?A little more research seems to implicate Mashtape's video tab: with all the other mashtape tabs disabled if I start playing a track it will play for a while, while the video tab displays the loading animation, and eventually crashes (length of time varies, but order 20s). Songbird currently works okay with mashtape on and the video tab disabled (all other tabs on). Hiding the mashtape pane also works (though the crash was independent of whether it was the video panel displaying at the time).
The EoG thing mentioned above appears to be a red-herring: I now have that fixed with no difference to SB.
Any other information that would be useful? -
Inappropriate?Hey guys,
Mashtape's video tab requires Flash. Do you have Flash installed? -
Inappropriate?It appears I do:
Shockwave Flash
File name: libflashplayer.so
Shockwave Flash 10.0 r22
MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled
application/x-shockwave-flash Shockwave Flash swf Yes
application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player spl Yes
This is a 64bit flashplayer from Adobe's beta site. After seeing this I tried a couple of flash sites (BBC iplayer and youtube) and it seems they crash around about the time flash gets loaded. Removing flash I manage to get through to the 'you don't have flash' notices. Didn't realise SB was picking it up as it's in my ~/.mozilla/plugins directory (it gets along better with Firefox). -
Inappropriate? Thanks to those who did all this work that just allowed me to by-pass the same issue. Looking fwd to the fix.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? Thanks for the info that it was mashtape. At least with mashtape disabled songbird is usable again.
Hope this gets fixed soon!
