Songbird Crashes when Skipping Songs with G15
Hi,
When listening to music in Songbird, I will try to skip some boring outros of songs with the media keys on the G15 Keyboard (Version 1), but it causes Songbird to crash. It only occurs near the end of songs, which seem to imply to that it is having issues with switching songs when it has already started the process of loading a new song.
My other thought would be that it is caused by the piss poor audio drivers, which also cause static on every other pause/resume (for another bug report).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Edit: I just saw a topic that suggested songbird was skipping ahead in the buffer (http://getsatisfaction.com/songbird/t...). This could possibly cause the crashes / static because the sound drivers have issues with jumps in the buffer.

Inappropriate?G'day,
Just wondering what version of Songbird you are using?
1.1 Beta3 was just released, and may fix your problem.. 1.0 did a lot of weird stuff at times, a lot of rewriting in 1.1 has made it a lot more stable now...
The link to it is available on http://wiki.songbirdnest.com/Develope...
Overall, I personally don't believe it makes sense to use 1.0 at all (1.1 is light years ahead, and a lot more stable even as a beta), however, be aware that once you upgrade to 1.1, you can't downgrade without erasing your library.
I recall seeing a lot of crashes in 1.0 when skpping ahead a lot, but doesn't seem to happen anymore on 1.1 :D -
Inappropriate?I have same problem... not just songbird crashes, everything chash, I have to reset my lap.
I used to skip a lot of tracks without a problem, now I don't know what happended, please help!
I'm running ubuntu 9.04 with songbird 1.2.0
do you know if this could be caused by an add on???
