songbird.exe fails to start - fresh profile works fine. Related to WMP update?
songbird.exe fails to start; if I use profilemanager to create a new profile it works fine. Possibly related to the latest WMP addon update.
Taskmanager doesn't even show songbird.exe appearing once profile is selected to start. I am happy not to have the WMP-addon - I don't use windows media files in songbird. Am also happy to dive into prefs.js or other settings files, but simple removing references to windowsmedia addons from the lists in pref.js don't fix the issue.
Alternatively, can I extract a media library database from my profile and add that to a new profile?

Inappropriate? You could try to copy the db folder from your old profile to the new. Maybe you can keep the library this way.

Inappropriate? The same is happening with the quicktime plugins, i getting a question from the quicktime plugin over software not present to reproduce certain type of files(fairplay?), this question is showed in the background , preventing the start of songbird( get stuck the process).
