songbird freezes on startup exactly half the time
Songbird freezes at startup exactly half the time. Every single time I start Songbird (even if I closed it previously and reopened it some time later), and I double-click to play a song, it freezes. I can't scroll through my library, change playlists, change songs, access the File, Edit, etc. menus, change volume, search, or even exit Songbird with the X button. The only way to get it working is to terminate the process using Task Manager and restart it. After which it always works.

Inappropriate?I am experiencing this problem since the 1.1.2 update. Indeed task manager is the only way to end songbird.
I will start songbird once and double click a file in my library and instant freeze. Force Quit and restart Songbird and no issue at all. Seems like it happens about half the time though I am unsure if it is exactly 50/50.
I have not tried to disable add-ons yet. I may post again in the future with any results found.

Inappropriate?Same problem here. Sometimes if I wait for more than a minute after it freezes it will unfreeze itself and eventually start playing a song. But that is completely unacceptable. What's up with this? It's almost making me switch to another media player. It does it both on my XP laptop and Windows 7 RC desktop.

Inappropriate?I have the exact same problem. It also causes Firefox to freeze and become unresponsive. Shutting down Firefox does not solve the problem, forcing Songbird to quit makes Firefox respond again. After staring up Songbird once again, it works fine. I have a MBP and use OSX 5.
