Songbird is unstable, and I don't want it to be
Songbird crashes constantly, sometimes in the middle of a song when I'm not even interacting with it, but most often when I switch to a new song manually. The crashes typically require me to go into the system monitor, kill the songbird process, and restart. I'm running the most current version of ubuntu.
I really love songbird, and otherwise its a great application, but unless I can get it more stable, I think I'll have to switch back to amarok.
Typical console output/error goes something like this:
(songbird-bin:11688): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

Inappropriate? We don't want that either. We reserve points in each release that go toward making a happier, healthier more stable bird. If you stick with us, keep submitting those crash reports as they provide the info the developers need to keep whittling away at top crashes.
I’m feeling your pain...
