Songbird not playing some songs
Songbird won't play certain songs. All the songs play fine in WMP or VLC, but won't play at all in Songbird. I'm using Windows XP. I recently downloaded and uninstalled a bunch of codec packs, (i've been having some video issues unrelated to this) Actually, just as i wrote this, songbird crashed while trying to get to the next song. Delightful! I love Songbird, but with half of my library essentially missing, I'll have to go back to WMP! Help?

Inappropriate?Hello,
What songs are you referring to? Is it a specific format? Can you upload such a song somewhere for us to test?
thx -
Inappropriate? They are all in .mp3 format, sorry I didn't put that in - all the songs work fine in WMP or VLC, as I said, but here is an mp3 on megashare that I uploaded: http://d01.megashares.com/dl/007edee/...
Thanks for the help -
Inappropriate?Hmm, the file works for me in songbird 1.2.0a ( http://developer.songbirdnest.com/bui... )
Does Songbird give an error, or what happens if you start the song?
Is there something in the error console (tools > error console, developers tools need to be installed) ? -
Inappropriate? An update seems to have fixed the problem, although there was a catch in the song when I played it - was there a sort of "hiccup" at about 4 seconds into that song when you played it?
When I had the problem, I have my library set to shuffle, and it would shuffle through every song trying to find one it could play until it found one and played that one. So far so good, but I'll post again if something else weird occurs.
I’m thankful
