songbird on two accounts with shared user info
Hello,
i run songbird on two windows accounts on one computer. My work account and my private account.
I always listen to music.
How do i link the data that's created by songbird with my other account?
With data i mean, times that song is played, addons, smart playlist ect, user info i would call it.
Is there a way to do this simple?

Inappropriate?Hey raamklaza,
Unfortunately there is no way to merge data between two accounts. Looks like you're stuck with split personalities for now!

Inappropriate?I have been looking for a solution and finally found it.
With a bit of light reading through other threads about this topic.
The solution is:
1. Go to one of your songbird accounts (i suggest the one with the most data and plugins etc)
2. Go to Extra and then Enable Profile Manager
3. Restart Songbird
4. Make a profile with a name of choose. But look and remember to location where this profile is saved (something like: C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\Songbird2\Profiles for Windows Vista)
5. Close songbird after the profile has been created
6. Go to your other account.
7. Enable Profile Manager on that one aswell
8. Restart Songbird
9. Make the same profile but override the default folder location
10. Change the default location to the location mentioned on step 4.
11. After this Songbird will start with the settings from the other user account.
Now we (with multi accounts) can enjoy the music with the same playlists, times played, number of starts, etc on every windows account!!!
I am so happy! -
Inappropriate?Hi raamklaza,
Looks like you found an awesome workaround! We love those around here! It's this kind of ingenuity from our users that makes Songbird what it is. Keep up the good work!
I’m impressed
