Inappropriate?G'day,
it wouldn't be an easy task. DRM works using encryption. Basically, you are sent an encrypted file, and a key to decrypt the file. Without access to the keys, there is no easy way.
You would have to reverse engineer the Itunes music store protocol (and the Windows media ones, and transfer the keys to linux), and this probably cant be done easily, legally, or work consistently.
If you have DRM'ed media, your best bet is to decrypt it in windows first, and then transfer it. This might not be legal however, but at least you will be always able to play the music, regardless of what happens.
Its legality would depend on the country which you live in, and the agreement made with the providers of the DRM'ed media.
