Songbird-Skype playback issue
When Sonongbird plays, Skype encounter a "Problem with audio playback" and it is not possible to place calls or hear any audio . I can hear other system sounds, so maybe it is a Skype issue, but it doesn't occurs with others media players.
Anyone has experieced this or has any suggestion?

Inappropriate?Hmm, that's strange. Video calls work just fine for me, Songbird or no Songbird. What OS are you using?

i think your best bet is to upgrade your Ubuntu... 9.04 came out yesterday and that should make you a pretty happy dude.. We did have issues back a while a go (Bug 12810) with Skype+Songbird+8.04... and I dont have any issues with Skype+Songbird on 8.10 or 9.04...

Thanks. Now I'll try on another Linux box with Ubuntu 9.04 release candidate I installed some weeks ago. Or, better, I'll reinstall official release :)
If everything goes ok, I'll consider to upgrade even the Ubuntu 8.04 Linux box. But I'm afraid that other, more problematic issues will arise with this new release :( -
Inappropriate?Solved! Is an issue of Pulseaudio. Ubuntu 9.04 comes out with mixed sound system. Pulseaudio is full of bugs and is not usable yet in stable releases.
Just uninstall it ad your problems disappear :)
Skype comes back working without audio delay and without high CPU load, and you can use Songbird&Skype together
