Songbird glitchy with .m4p songs
Ok, so upon downloading 1.0.0rc2, I was delighted to find that Songbird can play my .m4p songs again. But soon after this I discovered that whenever Songbird comes across a .m4p song while playing through a playlist, a window pops up telling me that "The file is encrypted" and "Songbird does not support Decryption" and whatnot.
Here's the good part:
When I click the ok button, Songbird skips over the "encrypted" song and starts playing the next one. But If I click the previous song button, the so called "encyrpted" song starts playing like normal!
anyone else having this problem? (Mac version, Leopard 10.5.5)
EDIT: Actually, it seems to have fixed itself. Strange....

I have this problem, too!
Tell me when someone solves it.

Inappropriate?Hey Dustin,
Just following up. Based on your edit it looks like you're all set, just wondering if you were ever able to reproduce your bug?
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Actually, no. the bug came back. I'm still having the same problem.
And yes, the bug is VERY reproducible. Like I said, anytime that Songbird finishes playing a song, then starts playing the next song that happens to be a .m4p, i get that error message.
I’m thankful for your support

Inappropriate?I had the same problem. Then I installed iTunes, authorized this computer. That solved it for me.

this solves the problem

Inappropriate?All,
I have this problem too - it is VERY reproducable, i.e. with any .m4p file bought from iTunes store it gives a stream is encrypted and decryption is not supported error. The computer is already authorised in iTunes and iTunes is installed (and it plays back in iTunes)
what to do?
thanks
I’m happy SB is evolving but it is not yet mature to replace iTunes

Inappropriate? There's no fix for this just yet. Although you could upgrade your library of .m4ps to iTunes plus though the iTunes store (which can play in SB) but it'll cost you $0.30 a song. I don't have many .m4p songs, so I've considered doing it, but I've decided to wait it out a while.

Inappropriate?I hope this gets resolved soon. I can't play some of my songs that I bought on iTunes before I switched to Songbird. I need to play them because I'm obsessed with the songs.
I’m really super duper sad.
