Songbird w/ closed window in background on Mac OS X
I'm using Songbird with Mac OS X and since I'm listening to music pretty much the whole day, Songbird runs in the background the whole time - like Thunderbird and some other programs. All of these apps run with closed windows, only the little white spot in the dock tell me they're running - except Songbird. When i close the window, the whole program quits.
I'd love Songbird to run in the background like with closed window, only in the dock running, just like Thunderbird and Firefox work too.

Inappropriate?Try pressing command + h while in Songbird.
-
That works, but why should I have to remember to do this *just* for Songbird. If they're going to put out a Mac version, it should behave like a normal mac app. -
Inappropriate?yay! if this'd be what happens when clicking the x everything would be fine ;)
I’m happy

Inappropriate? Please implement this. It's an expected behavior of an application running under Mac OS X. Songbird should only quit this way if pressing Command+Q

Inappropriate? This is also how iTunes works.
It is nice because I can close the window, but continue to listen to music and control playback with the media keys.
As this is the expected behavior in OS X, Songbird should probably play by the rules.
I’m confident

Inappropriate? And also the shortcut for quitting Songbird should not be cmd-b but cmd-q.
For closing the active window the shortcut cmd-w should be used. -
It is "command + q". I don't know what you're talking about. =\
