Songbird won't actually start up.
I'm running Ubuntu 9.04, and I installed via the latest deb file. I ran it in the terminal, and here's the output:

Inappropriate?G'day,
Unfortunately some of the packages can do weird stuff. In fact, I constantly hear about packages on getsatisfaction which never stood any chance of working.
You are probably best off giving the official tar.gz a try (it works fine for me in Ubuntu 9.04). You may also wish to ensure that you are running ./songbird, NOT ./songbird-bin . Apparently Songbird needs magic to run, and ./songbird-bin does NOT provide that.
Apparently there have also been problems with libvisual and the official Nvidia drivers for some users in ubuntu, and they reported that they had to remove libvisual to get Songbird running for some reason (POTI are apparently working on a solution for that).
Let me know how it turns out :D

Inappropriate?Download Songbird 1.2.0 from the GetDeb website: http://www.getdeb.net/app/Songbird
You'll need to remove the libvisual-0.4-plugins before you actually install Songbird. this is done by going to System, Administration, Synaptic Package Manager, put your password in, once it opens up, goto the search field and enter libvisual-0.4-plugins. Once you see the results for this, place cursor over the small green box, then right click and select Mark For Complete Removal, then click Apply.. Once that has done you'll be able to come out of Synaptic Package Manager and then you can install Songbird.
