Songbird's Memory Issues

Songbird has been working well for me, until I noticed that after a while of playing music it would suddenly skip through songs with out playing them (as in the seek bar would race through a 3:30 song in about 5 seconds). Not sure if this related to the fact that i used in in mini player and had a bunch of other apps open at the same time....

I then also noticed (it may or may not be related, I will watch it for a while to see if I can find any other symptoms) that Songbird had a rather high memory usage (it had been running for about 15 min when i noticed) and this was steadly growing by roughly 200-400k a second (based on watching it in Windows task manager for a while). Exiting and restarting causes it to drop back down to reasonable memory usage levels. Minimizing Songbird did cause a 40000k (!!!) drop in memory usage, however this only lasted about 10 seconds, and it returned to its previous memory usage levels.

In further investigation I disbled ALL my add-ons, this did help, with a 5000k drop in average memory usage levels, and memory delta dropping from 200-400k down to about 40-100k a second. When visible on screen Songbird has a Page fault delta of 150-200, when minimized this drops to between 8 and 12.

My computer is running Windows XP 64 bit SP2, 2 gig of ram, 2.2 ghz dual core.
Version: Songbird 1.0.0, Build 860 (20081124135419)

I play mp3's (Most of them ripped from my cd's using WMP) from my local hard drive. My library is only 740 songs. Nearly all of them have a bit rate of 320 kbps (some are less, none are more)

I can't think of much more to add that could help in identifying the problem.....

Other then this, I might add that Songbird is an amazing product (and itunes isnt avaliable on 64 bit yet, and Microsoft doesnt make it easy to get WMP 11 for 64 bit)
