Inappropriate?I'd like to extend this to streaming... I listen to a SoundCast radio and I watch the memory usage keep climbing.
I’m hoping it will be resolved
-
Inappropriate?More information... Memory is reclaimed when I restore and then minimize the app.
I’m Better

Inappropriate? To qualify, I'm using "minimize to tray". This seems to reclaim the memory from Songbird. Based upon this fact, I believe that this is a Python garbage collector issue. Somehow "minimizing to tray" seems to activate the garbage collector, where just minimizing doesn't.
It may be that we can "tune" the garbage collector. I'm not familiar with this process, but maybe someone with some knowledge could try? -
Inappropriate?I have still the same Problem.
The Memoryusage goes up to 700-800mb of ram!
And thats definitly too high :-)
I hope someone finds a solution!
Using Vista x64 -
Inappropriate? That's a real issue for me too. It slows down my system too much after 2 hours. Therefore I will change back to another player.
Minimize to tray reduces the Mem usage, but not the Virtual Memory size used.
Before a version 1.0 is launched, this kind of issues should be solved...
sorry guys
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? It's a shame that this nice app is also a memory hog. :(
Hope the developers will find a fix for this annoying issue in the next release.
Actually it's a big problem...
