Stop after current playing track?
I was playing around with global hot-keys and noticed something missing that I'd like to see there.
How about adding a way to have Songbird to stop playing after the current track? Instead of just stopping in the middle of a song, let it finish first.
Winamp use to have this feature (the last time I used it...) you could right click on the Play/Pause button and select "Stop after current track" or something like that.
I can't think of a better way to implement it into Songbird other then to do the same thing. But I'm open to suggestions. And of course, I'd like it to be selectable as a global hotkey. (actually, there's a lot I'd like to see added to that)
Also, while we're on song stopping, how about an option to have the music fade in/out when paused and unpaused. It's a little less jarring when you have the speakers up on bust. ;)

Inappropriate?Wayne,
Personally, I would like to see this feature implemented.
I've checked our Bugzilla, wasn't able to find anything open for that.
I'm going to poke around a little and file this as a feature suggestion.
Let's see, if can get other users

Hi Boris, this doesn't seem to have made it into 1.1, any chance of a 1.1.1? :)
Also, quick thought: single click to pause, double click to pause after current track? -
Inappropriate?Sorry, somehow the last sentence got cut off......:)

Inappropriate?Foobar has this, I very regularly use this when leaving the house when I want a track to 'play me out'

Inappropriate? My friends are using MacBook for playing back sound effects and songs during a theatre show. They desperately need a media player with a manual playlist advancing, since the mixer doesn't have time to stop the playback at the exact moment. Is this feature coming to Songbird, or are there perhaps any other players that could do this?
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Wow! I got a reply on another forum. In iTunes:
-Uncheck the tracks.
-Repeat mode to Repeat one.
Now the playlist won't advance automatically! No need for another software anymore. -
Inappropriate?I'd really love this feature in Songbird, I hate when I have to hard-stop in the middle of a track.
I’m confident

Inappropriate? There is an addon, which implements this. Unfortunately it doesn't work with latest Songbird version.

Inappropriate? Was just writing a suggestion for this but I've found yours so here's my two cents.
The ability to halt playback once the current track had finished playing would be great. Not crucial but I would really like this - really annoys me stopping a track halfway through and it's almost equally annoying waiting for it to end.
Other Winamp type stuff I'd like to see include similar ideas: 'close on finish' or 'shut down on finish' for a track, or playlist. That would be brilliant. Then for instance you can write a playlist to fall asleep to and then when you're suitably asleep your computer turns itself off. Magic!
I’m sleepy

Inappropriate?oh and fade out instead of stop. Liked that too :)
