Subwoofer works w/ Itunes/VLC, not Songbird
I have a Macbook Pro (3 years old) runing Mac OSx 10.4 (Tiger). My sound setup is four Altec Lansing speakers and a subwoofer connected to the laptop via the headphone jack.
When I play audio in VLC or ITunes the subwoofer is used. When I play it in Songbird the subwoofer does not work. Therefore, I think that this is a software problem.
Songbird version is 1.1.2, Build 1042.
