Suggestion for library Auto-Update. NOT like iTunes.
Is there a way (add-in or otherwise) to have Songbird monitor a directory (or directories) and automatically add any new files added to that directory to the Library? Maybe a refresh button would be better so it doesn't lag every time you open the player.
This would be a reverse of the iTunes way. I don't want my music player moving/copying/sorting my files. I have a specific way of naming and sorting. I want to be able to drop 20 new albums, each in their own folders, into my E:\Music dir., hit refresh and have them show up in my Songbird library. It should also remove non-existent files from the library (as an option?)
I imagine there are many 'open-sourcers' out there that would appreciate this.
Thanks

Inappropriate?Hey Troy, actually this is already implemented in the Songbird version 1.1 :). It is called watchfolders and can be found in your preferences (options) under the Media Importer section.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?I wouldn't mind a feature that is similar to the itunes autosorting though either, just give us the option.
