Syncing iPod classic in Songbird on Vista takes too long
when plugging in an iPod Classic 80GB it takes too long to get it ready on songbird so i can transfer my songs to the device, using vista.
I’m a little disappointed

Inappropriate?i don't have a classic ipod, but ipod touch, 32gb. when i connect it, songbird shows the connection, but it won't sync. i don't know what to do. itunes got deleted off my computer, and won't re-install. i think it's vista's fault, but i really need my ipod, with my newer, updated music..

Inappropriate?Is anything being done about this? I even tried to cancel the mounting operation so I could eject my iPod and just to do that took several minutes. Very frustrating.

iPod Touch syncing is not yet supported.
For your 80GB+ iPod Classics, there is a bug open for those large models taking a loooooong time to mount... So sorry about that.
To track the comments on this work item:
1. Go to the "people" box in the upper right hand corner of bug # 12471;
