Syncing Ubuntu Songbird with Windows XP iTunes
Hi, I'm having a problem with importing my iTunes library into Ubuntu Linux. I can import the library by changing the file path with gedit after I move a copy of "iTunes Music Library.xml" to my linux drive. My problem is that I'm still syncing my iPhone in Windows XP and want the changes I make on my iPhone to appear in songbird in Ubuntu. I'm basically looking for continuity between my Windows iTunes library and my Ubuntu Songbird library. I only need to sync one way, I don't need to go from linux to XP, just from XP to linux.
I'm looking to import play counts and changes to playlists, last plays and all those other statistics.
Thanks for the help.

Inappropriate?Hey Christian,
So you want to a way to sync with out having to edit the iTunes Music Library.xml everytime? Right?
Have you tried using a sym link?

Inappropriate?Hi Michael,
I haven't tried using a sym link, but I have done what that page calls "The Hard Way". I'm interested in syncing my XP iTunes Library with my Songbird Ubuntu library so that the play counts add and all my ratings are the same.
Maybe an example would work. So if I rate a song as 5 stars on my iPhone and then sync my iPhone with iTunes in XP, I want a way to make that change appear in Songbird.
Thanks for the help.
