TagLib: Various errors and warnings during import. Howto find and fix the affected songs?
During the import of my mp3 I get many errors/warnings like this:
TagLib: ID3v2.4 no longer supports the frame type TDAT. It will be discarded from the tag.
TagLib: ID3v2.4 no longer supports the frame type RVAD. It will be discarded from the tag.
TagLib: ID3v2.4 no longer supports the frame type TSIZ. It will be discarded from the tag.
TagLib: MPEG::Header::parse() -- Invalid sample rate.
TagLib: MPEG::Properties::read() -- Could not find a valid first MPEG frame in the stream.
TagLib: MPEG::Header::parse() -- First byte did not match MPEG synch.
TagLib: String::prepare() - Unicode conversion error.
None of this lines includes the filename or other information about the affected song.
a) How can I find this songs after the import in the Library?
b) How can I fix this problems with Songbird or some Add-on?
c) How can I check them again - after fixing it inside or outside Songbird?

Inappropriate?Hi SongBirdLover
Which Songbird Version are you using?
And in which ID3 Verision are your tags? ID3v2.3 or ID3v2.4?
And last but not least, on which OS are you?
~Lukas
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate?Ups, sorry.
Songbird Version: Official 1.2.0
ID3 Versions: about 95% is in ID3v2.3, about 5% ID3v2.4
-> If I would know which songs are affected, I could have a closer look at the ID3 version .-)
My OS is: Windows Vista Ultimate
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?No problem.
It looks like the 2.4 files make problems.
Can you take a test file (no matter what ID3 version), copy it and change the tags of one with EasyTag to the other version (2.4-->2.3 or 2.3-->2.4)?
And then try to import ONLY these two files. And look if there are errors or warnings.
You are seeing the errors in the console, aren't you? -
Inappropriate?I made 3 files with the following tag versions:
- ID3v2.4 - UTF-8
- ID3v2.3 - UTF-16
- ID3v2.3 - ISO-8859-1
All three files were imported fine, no error and I can edit the metadata.
Yes, I noticed the other errors in the commandline window of my other PC with XP (wrong info above! Sorry again)
I try it now on my main machine with Vista Ultimate (I have to start it as admin to get the -console working)
Do you have any idea how I could find the files that seems to have a problem?
Maybe we can investigate and try to fix them...
I’m indifferent
