There should be support for universal control of audio media via keyboard controls.

It could be advantageous to include support for keyboard controls in a universal setting. This could help with being able to play, pause, or switch songs while in another window or using a full screen program, such as video games.

I noticed this when I used the Logitech Mouse and Keyboard Settings manager to try and set Songbird as my active media player for the controls provided on the keyboard (play/pause, skip, shuffle, as well as a function to open the program from the keyboard).
