Transfering to another computer???
Where is metadata stored? Where are playlists stored? In other words how do I move all required files to a backup drive so that they could be installed on another computer when the need arises? How should files be structured so that everything will work as before?

Laura, I think I have discovered that you can move an external drive with Songbird files and playlists to another computer. Just make sure that on the second computer the drive is assigned the same drive letter as it had on first computer. (see changing drive letters in Windows if necessary). Import original playlists to second computer and since none of the path has changed it works fine. Please give this a try and let me know what you think.
