Translation file not working

I am currently translating the site into Irish/Gaeilge/ga-IE.

I have not completed the translation but when I download the .xpi file to test the translation, it fails to load. An error message shows up and it asks to quit or reload in English.

What is the reason for this? Does it happen in other languages?
