Unable to use network drive!?
I am currently running Songbird on my Ubuntu desktop. I have mounted a networked drive on my Windows machine that contains all of my music. However, Songbird is unable to view any network drives. Is there a solution to this? It seems strange that Songbird would be unable to see network drives, especially a drive that has been mounted.

Inappropriate?If the drive is properly mounted, there should be no problem to integrate it.
Maybe you could make a symlink (Shortcut) to the mounted drive to your home folder and point songbird to that. It should work. -
Inappropriate?Thanks for your prompt reply. I am perfect so it didn't occur to me that when I set up my samba mount I could have messed it up. Anyway, problem resolved. Now Songbird is awesome!

What do you use? Ubuntu? Debian? Fedora?
It almost doesn't matter which one you use. Just search the forums of those. The people there are always helpful and know the solution to everything.
Ok. Many of those know it too well and don't like people, who don't, but almost all questions you could have are already answered there.
If you can tell me, what distro you use, I can point you in the right direction!! -

i figure out how to mount the hard dive
it was something like >
mount -t smbfs //10.0.04/music /mnt/music
now i am using songbird!
it's great! my favorite player ;)
