Update broke Vista - Songbird won't start

Songbird recently came out with an update. Trouble is now Songbird will no longer start. I have Vista - is that part of the problem? Another hint is that a box said something about bad data for my music collection and asked if I wanted to rescan. I said No which was apparently the WRONG answer!
Please help. I want my Songbird back!
