Videos Playable
I love the songbird software but I want to know if there wil be accommadation for video files playback anytime soon. Videos are the future...no, wait, the present. People have mp4 players and mp4 iPods and other such devices. If you don't want to use boring windows media player you would have a backup/alternative to play videos on. Once again, great software, I love it, how it looks, video would make it perfect. Thanks much and please, someone reply soon!

Inappropriate?Hi wii.live07,
Sorry for the delay in responding to your question. We removed video capability in an earlier release so as to focus on really nailing the audio experience. We agree that video is an important part of being a great media player, and we will eventually be integrating video back into the software, but it will probably be a few releases down the road. In the meantime, keep enjoying our music player, and keep checking back for updates to see the latest features and improvements. -
Inappropriate?I have been a long time supporter of J. River Media Jukebox and Media Center. I no longer use it, too complicated and I can't bother to pay for another upgrade. I like the Songbird software. I would like to make a suggestion for you to update this player to be able to play all file types, pictures, audio and video. Let it use a small amount of memory. Provide cool skins to use and the ability to play video in an innovative manner. The interface is okay. I wouldn't rearrange the buttons and icons. That's fine for now but one more thing. Provide the ability to change the color of the background like Windows Media Player 11. If I have any suggestions I will email again. Thanks for a good product and I hope you integrate video playback soon, hopefully by the end of 2008. Thanks.
I’m Hopeful
