Watch folder no longer watches
It used to be the case that whenever I added music to my watched folder, songbird updated my library within seconds. Since installing 1.2 (possibly before that, not sure) it doesn't update at all, even if I restart songbird; I have to add music manually. In other words, the watch folder is completely nonfunctional.
It's currently set to C:\Users\[username]\Music; I also tried it with a different folder, but same deal - besides the initial scan, it did nothing at all.

Inappropriate? It works with my SB 1.2 under XP SP3...
check the checkbox above the watch-folder...
If it is already checked.... ugh....
Did you changed something (except the update to 1.2) of your system? -
Inappropriate? The checkbox is checked; as to system changes, to be honest, it's difficult to say, because I changed my entire system recently - I got a new laptop (Vista 64) and I'm not entirely certain whether it ever worked on this system, though I think it did before 1.2. I'll boot up my old one (XP SP3) and check whether watch folders work with SB 1.2. At any rate there's definitely a bug here somewhere...
I’m confusing matters

Inappropriate?I have the same problem with Songbird 1.2 on Ubuntu Intrepid. My watched folder is /home/username/Music, although most of my music is stored in a mp3 player that is in a linked directory inside that one. I am pretty sure I didn't have this problem before 1.2. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled songbird, but it had no effect. Attempting to add the folder manually just leads to duplicate entries in the library.
I’m frustrated
