Weekly Video Podcasts by the Songbird Team
Why simply write about lunch when you can make yourselves and your lunch famous over a weekly video podcast online :D
I'd like to see POTI make a weekly video keeping us up to date on events. It wouldn't drain much time (30 mins a week), and as with Apple, would greatly help keep people interested :D
Even a 3 minute quick video would be great, showing us what's new and such. It worked for the Digg team, and I think it could make a huge difference to the popularity of Songbird too, and turn it into a cult following :D
And no, not joking, I am serious. I think this could have a major impact.

Inappropriate?Or maybe if its easier, fortnightly.. I accept that the after-effects of eating 30 tacos might be better left untaped 0.o

Inappropriate?I would love to see video updates even just once a month or so from the team if it wouldn't be too much trouble to make them. Maybe just a few minutes or so mixing interviews and screencasts showing new features they have been working on.
There are videos on Mozilla labs sometimes showing new projects and ideas or just with discussion about the principles of the software. They are enjoyable to watch, and you get to know the people who are working on the software better. Google also puts videos on their blog frequently explaining new features. Today's post has a great example of one.
Plus, it would be easy to put up videos using the new HTML5 <\video> tags like they do on this blog: http://hacks.mozilla.org/
I’m excited

Inappropriate? How 'bout they just hook up a webcam in their office and we can watch them work 24/7...

that gets a star out of respect for extreme creepiness :D -
Inappropriate? This would be awesome - but surely massively tempting to spend your time doing stupid stuff in the back ground to see if anyone notices? hehehe

Gives the Songbird ninja t-shirt a whole new meaning -
Inappropriate?On a completely unrelated note...
SPOTTED: David Ascher (he of Mozilla Messaging 'fame' - well in that he's head of it), following 'EQ and applet" in our very own Songbird.
Maybe that's why Thunderbird three isn't out yet - they're too ingrossed in songbird! :) I wonder if any of the other Mozilla movers and shakers are fans?
I’m happy
