When will Songbird support Windows 7?
Songbird works somewhat on Windows 7, but some very necessary components such as playback of ALAC files does not. Have you begun working on making sure everything works on windows 7 yet?

Windows 7 probably isn't officially supported yet because developers only release it next month, and its official release is october. That being said, technically, its pretty similar to Vista, so it seems to work anyway fine (at least here). Not sure when it will be officially supported though.
In terms of Apple Lossless codec, just wondering if you have Quicktime and the quicktime addon installed? I can't currently test and d/l itunes (because I'm getting close to my monthly download quota), but with those installed, I believe Apple lossless works....

Developers/OEM get the final release on August 4th, so just wondering if you mean then (because computers may be sold with it installed early), or the october 22nd release (which is the boxed release launch date)?

One of my to-do items is to write up a little plan about how we're going to go about making sure that Songbird is ready to venture into the scary world of Windows 7. I will post it to our wiki and let you guys pick it apart. It should be done in a couple of weeks. -

Inappropriate?I tried Songbird on several Windows 7 machines already. The Beta and the RC. I encountered NO Problems, whatsoever.
