Where does Songbird store add-ons?
Where does Songbird store add-ons?
I have MANY add-ons in Songbird and I want to transfer them to a new computer. I thought about transferring all the data in Application Data but thought that might include info on my metadata etc. and this would not be good to transfer because the other computer has a very different music library.
What should I do?

Inappropriate?Your extensions are in the folder:
\Application Data\Songbird2\Profiles\SOMETHING\extensions\
If you move to a computer with the same Operation System and the same Songbird Version, I would try to copy the whole profile ("\Application Data\Songbird2\Profiles\SOMETHING\)" to the new computer, and than use the profile manager to load this profile. Then I would clear the whole library and import the new music. If it doesn't work out, you still can create a new profile and start from scratch.

Inappropriate?I looked in that folder and all I have in there is the artowrk, cache, and offline cache folders along with 2 files called XPC.mfl and XUL.mfl

Inappropriate?Oh that's the wrong "Application Data".
That's the folder you're looking for
USERNAME\Application Data\Songbird2\Profiles\SOMETHING\
That's the folder you're currently looking at:
USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Songbird2\Profiles\SOMETHING\
You only need to copy the first one.
(Sorry, i should have made it more clear in the first place) -
Inappropriate?Thank you I forgot that app data also existed. You're probably right there is so much there copying the profile seems like a better idea. I'll try that when I have time. Thanks for you help!

You're welcome. It would be nice, if you could report back later, if the migration worked. :-) -
