Inappropriate?I'm not sure what you mean. We don't actually support transferring files from the ipod to songbird (and your computer). If you did an import of your itunes library in startup or through the tools->options preferences panel then your music is still where it was, we don't move it on disk.
If you can give us your exact steps we may be able to help more. Thanks.
I’m confused

Inappropriate? You copied iPod files to Songbird library...?
They just show up in a library, you can play them as long, as your iPod is connected.
Songbird doesn't transfer the files to the local drive, it plays them from the original location.

Inappropriate? Thanks guys. I'm retiring an old ipod and wanted to get my songs off of it. My iTunes was on an old PC and a lot of my songs are not around anymore. I've since adopted a much more strict approach to organizing my music!
I was able to get the songs via Windows Explorer and displaying hidden files.
Thanks for your quick responses,
Chuck
