Why does Managed Mode limit the number of fields I can use to rename files to 3?
I'd like to keep the current naming scheme I use ([artist] - [album] - [track] - [title]), but Songbird only lets me choose up to three fields for the new file name.

Inappropriate?Hi slower,
I'd like to merge your topic with the main discussion regarding this feature here: http://getsatisfaction.com/songbird/t...
Unfortunately Get Satisfaction search is not cooperating at the moment. In any case, you'll see it's a giant discussion. You may want to scroll about 3/4 the way down the page and start around Ultimus Rex's post 15 days ago.

Inappropriate?Sounds fine -- after posting, I found a couple other topics that covered my question.

Yep, this topic is hot hot hot right now so there are even plenty more, just not always so easily searchable. :0) -
Inappropriate?Personally I need more possible fields for file RE-naming in managed music mode on.
I want to be able to rename my files as follows:
Artist - Album - Track Title - Track Number.ext
But songbird limits me to (3) possible fields....
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Manage Music Rename Files - More Fields. -
Inappropriate?I read the posts on the main discussion, but I'm still confused. Is an expansion to more than 3 fields underway/planned? Fours seems like what is really needed as a minimum...
