Why won't songbird 0.8.0 hold or play any of my music?
I just downloaded 0.8.0 of songbird and it seems to work fine except for the fact that it won't hold or play any media. there's not even a "library" section. It also doesn't see my ipod. Please help!

Inappropriate?Hi packy,
That is definitely a major problem. So that I can further assist you, please let me know:
1) what operating system you are running;
2) what model and generation of iPod you have;
3) exactly which nightly build did you download (what was the date)?; and
4) step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem you are experiencing.
Thanks.
I’m hopeful

I'm running Ubuntu 8.04. It's a 80 gig ipod classic. it was version: Songbird 0.8.0pre, Build 800 (20081026211331), I'm pretty sure that it was either on the 27th or 28th. I downloaded 0.7.0 and imported my whole library into it. a few days later I installed that update and songbird simply wouldn't hold or play any media whatsoever. There is not even a "Library" function, There aren't any for playlists either -
Inappropriate?This sounds familiar.
I assume, you've downloaded 0.8.0pre build on top of 0.7.0 build on Linux.
Are you running on Linux?
We've had this problem with the database migration in Linux builds.
This bug was fixed today and will be re-tested with tomorrow builds.
