Will metadata stay the same from player to player?
If I edit music metadata in songbird(in this case the album names) and then play the files in a different media player, will the metadata be the same in both media players? Also, will the metadata remain the same if i were to play the songs in songbird, but on a different OS?

Inappropriate? The metadata edited in Songbird should remain the same, if you play in Songbird across OS's.
The metadata (Titles, Artist Name, Album Name) is written to the file.
So, generally speaking, it should be the same when importd into the other player.
It just depends on how the other player supports metadata reading.

Inappropriate?I just cleared my library and then reloaded all the same files and all my star ratings were gone.
Are ratings not included in persistent metadata or is it something else?
(May be something else because I play all my music off my network hard drive)
