Will songbird have a sql backend option sometime?
sql as far as ive seen would solve the ram problems with larger music databases like in amarok or see how foobar has managed such a small footprint because even itunes for the ram hogger it is uses less than songbird. 80gb of music

Inappropriate?mikey0000,
Today is clearly my day to show my "I'm no techie" stripes, HOWEVER, after doing a quick Bugzilla search I found this bug which may or may not speak to your question...you tell me!
I’m unsure...

Inappropriate?mmm that would clearly show it is using one but it is making too many query strings which is using up too much memory. perhaps they should take a look at how amarok uses sql? I understand that sql can be very lightweight and i also understand programming practices so looks like sql isnt the problem but do correct me if im wrong i am a newbie programmer too. :) oh and in anwser to you Q yes it does anwser my Q :)
I’m interested

Inappropriate?Songbird is as far as I know already using a SQLite database for the media library, so it's already there. Unfortunately I think the database has to be loaded into the memory all the time to make the searches fast enough.
