Windows auto-hide taskbar doesn't appear when Songbird is maximised

I know this issue has been raised before after doing some research but, despite apparently being fixed, it's still prevalent for me using Songbird 1.2 and XP SP3.

When Songbird is maximised I can't move my cursor to the bottom of the screen and bring up the taskbar (which is set to auto-hide and also be kept on top of other windows). This occurs whether I use the default feather or Aero Bird Pro. I have never had this issue with any other XP application. It looks like all other applications leave 2 pixels of space at the bottom of the screen because I can see a thin slither of the blue colour of the taskbar at the bottom of the screen in Outlook/Firefox etc., Songbird, however, takes up all of the desktop real estate, save for a 1 pixel thick white bar.

I've enclosed a screenshot showing the base of the Songbird window and also the base of the Firefox window (set to a red background to show up the white bar in Songbird). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for such an immense app.
