X-Windows controls via ssh X11 forwarding won't work
X-Window controls (minimize, maximize, restore) don't work in ssh session with X11 forwarding (host: xubuntu 8.10 x86_64, songbird 1.0 , client: winxp, putty and exceed 2k8 as X11 server)

I have this problem, too!

Inappropriate?@W, AFAIK this isn't something anyone's ever tried before. Does Firefox work properly with the same configuration?
-
Inappropriate?yep, works flawless, same does any other X11 application I'm using in this way

Inappropriate?Okay, it's not going to be a priority for the company to fix. That sucks, I know, but it's a really rare configuration and it would take someone a while just to get set up and reproduce the bug locally. Having said that, it's probably not a complicated fix for someone who has the right knowledge (not me).
So, that's the bad news. On the plus side, I filed it in our bug tracker (http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com/show...) and so hopefully someone who is running that setup will have some time to look into it. If other people have the problem too, they can vote this issue up and if it becomes popular we'll absolutely look into it.
Just to clarify, you can still resize the window and quit the app and such, it's just the triple-buttons in the top corner that don't work, right?
I’m apologetic

Inappropriate?I am running Ubuntu 9.04 with a songbird build 1.2, and all the controls work correctly when I tunnel X over to another machine. I'm not using putty (i'm going from one Ubuntu system to another) but minimize/restore/maximize works just fine. The issue that I am having is the player to pops up remotely but when music is played it comes from the speakers on server side, not from the client.
Were you ever able to get music to play on the client side?
