Differentiate Between Event Types in Daily Digest Emails
Right now I'm tracking 527 artists, 7 venues, and 10 people, looking for gigs in two cities (NYC and Philadelphia); since the notification emails pull in everything from the tracker, this means that it's gotten increasingly difficult for me to quickly pull out the information that I'm most interested in from the emails: new shows.
Because the emails are purely chronological and don't visually differentiate between, say, an awesome show in London (that someone I'm tracking is going to) and an awesome show in Brooklyn (that I'd love to go to but haven't yet heard about), the notification emails can be frustrating.
While splitting up the content (and therefore increasing email volume) may not be ideal for everyone, I'd love to have a little more control over what's included in my tracker digest emails--maybe it's just my own shows, and I visit the site to see what others are doing.
Another alternative is visually differentiating between the various classes of tracker activity within the current email: if the emails used something like the color coding scheme from the Upcoming Events page, I could quickly scan through looking for the red and the blue, checking out the others at my leisure.

Inappropriate?Oh, and as long as I'm being picky: not sure whether enough people track multiple cities to make it worthwhile, but it'd be great if the emails showed the city associated with with each listed gig.
I’m very picky.

Inappropriate?Hey Whitney
Good spot – the events should actually have cities so we’re working on fixing that!
And we’ll keep in mind your other suggestions, you make some good points :)
Thanks,
Emily.
I’m thinking hmm nice ideas

Inappropriate?I track Cambridge and London - but I only want to get emails for Cambridge. The reason for this is that I track a few hundred artists, and I get an email about London gigs on a near daily basis - I also check Songkick, and have the Google Calendar integration thing, so I only expect to see "high priority" gigs near me: maybe thats a location, or if Spoon are playing in London?
Emailing me for Cambridge and London simply means I'm starting to ignore the emails = missing gigs accidently

I'd like more granularity with emails.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate? Thanks for the feedback Peter - I think you and Whitney have made similar points - that basically you want to have the ability to tailor the emails to your own personal preferences, right?
Noted and taken on board ;)
