Inappropriate?Hey there,
Thanks for alerting us to this issue – that definitely doesn’t sound good! To try and figure out what’s going wrong it’d be a great help if you could answer these questions:
1) What location did you sign up with?
2) What location are you getting events for?
3) Are you receiving email alerts about events in a metro area you’re not tracking?
4) What events do you see in your calendar? www.songkick.com/calendar -- are they for the right or wrong locations?
Hope to hear back from you so we can sort this out asap!

Inappropriate?Hi Emily
Firstly, I'm impressed that a remark on Twitter has been picked up and responded to.
1. I signed up with Edinburgh, UK as my location.
2. Once I signed up I was being shown events for London.
3. I manually changed the locations to show me events from Edinburgh and Glasgow, so I don't know if I would have received emails for the wrong Metro area (I'm getting correct emails now)
4. My calendar was definitely showing London events until I manually changed it.
Thanks for your help on this. As you can see, the system is now working properly for me, but it did seem to have a bug at signup.
Andy

Inappropriate?Hey Andy,
Thanks for getting back to me! Well we try and keep our finger on the pulse as much as possible ;)
Sounds very odd - I'll pass on those details to our team of developers who'll investigate it further!
Cheers,
Emily.
I’m puzzled

Inappropriate?Hey again Andy - got a couple more questions for you as we're trying to figure out what went on here:
1) When you manually changed your location, did you actually see 'London, UK' in the 'Tracked metro areas' module (right-hand side of the tracker page http://www.songkick.com/tracker) and have to delete it?
2) Were you definitely logged-in and viewing the 'Upcoming events' tab (http://www.songkick.com/calendar) -- because, logged-out this automatically reverts to 'London events' and clicking on this will bring up the London metro area page (http://www.songkick.com/metro_areas/2...)
and lastly 3) When you were on step one of the sign-up process and typed in Edinburgh did you actually press 'search' to find Edinburgh and select it? (sorry if that sounds a bit patronising but we have to consider all possibilities!) If you didn't, then it would have automatically reverted to London once you'd submitted all your details.
We've written that last one up as a bug now as it there should be some validation!
Cheers,
Emily. -
Inappropriate?Hi Emily
1. I can't remember exactly how I changed it, but it definitely said 'London, UK' before I changed it.
2. I was definitely logged in and viewing the upcoming events tab, because I assumed I hadn't logged in properly, so I double checked.
3. When I signed up I definitely pressed search after entering 'Edinburgh' and it gave me two options - Edinburgh, UK and Edinburgh, US and I selected Edinburgh UK.
I hope this helps.

Inappropriate?Ok, so we've tested and tested and retested some more and we can't seem to recreate this problem. It's very odd. We'll definitely be keeping an eye out to see if anyone else has the same issue though.
Let us know if there is anything else you think might help us recreate it!
Thanks,
Emily.
