Songkicker download link missing?
OK, I know I'm not blind. All links to Songkicker point to the /tracker page, but there's NO link to download the app on that page! I'm assuming it's a temporary problem? I even tried using both Firefox & IE in case it was a browser issue.

Hey there,
Apologies for the confusion with this. We've just recently implemented the 'Connect with Facebook' feature, so there are still some improvements to be made!
The problem is that users who sign up to Songkick in this way (instead of through the standard 'sign-up' method) can't use the Songkicker because they don't have a Songkick password (because you're using your Facebook account to log in). And you need this in order for the Songkicker to work.
We should have removed the Songkicker link from the welcome email for Facebook Connect users, sorry about that.
There is a workaround you can do though:
1) go to the 'Forgot your password' link:

2) Enter your email that you use to log in for Facebook (as this is the one you'll have registered with Songkick if you 'allowed' access when you initially connected).
3) You'll be sent an email to that address which will have a link in it allowing you to reset (or set in your case!) a new password.
4) You'll then be automatically logged into Songkick - just go to your Tracker and you should see the download Songkicker link towards the bottom, just above the Last.fm option.
It's up to you if you want to log in via Facebook or with your Songkick details after that!
Hope that makes sense, apologies again for the confusing user experience. We are working on making this better.

That worked, Emily. Thanks. As a side-note, the URL to the license terms that appears in the installation is a bad link. It points to www.songkick.com/terms instead of www.songkick.com/info/terms. -

Where is the link to download the songkicker to import artists from iTunes? I have a Mac...I can't find it anywhere on the "tracker" page. All i see is importing from last.fm which I don't have. The link I got in an email to download the application only sends me to the tracker page on the website, no application actually downloads. What's going on?

The workaround does not working for me there is no download link at all. Wouldn't it just be easier to stick up a direct link to it... I've tried it from a normal account and a facebook connect account neither of them produce a download link for me.

I joined because it said I could import artists from my itunes but now I have I can't work out how to do so?

Once you've successfully done the workaround, the link to download the Songkicker can be found on your dashboard (also Upcoming Events and Tracker) :

Sorry this is so confusing! Are you sure you're using the same email for both Facebook and the password reset? Once you have received the reset email, and followed the link to change the password, you should be automatically logged in and able to see the Songkicker. -

That worked, but you guys better find a way to fix that. I really spent the time to look for the link and then to find this fix post, because I'm a huge music fan, but you guys might lose a lot of people. Maybe add something directly to the home page.

This keeps popping up...
"Move Songkicker to your Applications folder?
You're running the Songkicker from a disk image. You need to move it to your Applications folder so we can track all the new artists you add to your iTunes library."
I click yes and I go to my applications folder and click the icon that says songkicker but it will not open!!!!
Please help me!!!-

I just signed up, downloaded the app, etc. Can't find the songkicker thing anywhere. I did the workaround and nothing. There is nothing on that side of my dashboard on the website. What's the deal?

I initially connected using a facebook account, then reseted password to have a songkick account. But still no download link nor in the Dashboard neither in the Tracker.
Am I missing something?

I just wasted an hour trying to install Songkicker. Now I wished I skipped to the end and saved myself the headache.
No iTunes, no use. Deleting as well.-

How disappointing. Was looking forward to using this with iTunes import. The iOS app is useless to me, my iPhone holds 16GB, my iTunes collection is 50GB.

Seriously? The iTunes importer is gone?
I now have no idea what this site / app does. Sorely disappointed. Are you trying to become solely a social-concert.. thing? Discovery via friends is great, but... I'd love to be able to find concerts from the 1000+ artists in my iTunes library so they can share in the discovery as well.
I find this truly bizarre... kinda regret spending any time on this.-

Well, good luck with the transition! Cynical startup me hopes you can pull it off without alienating all your users. I'm really curious why you would drop a feature while implementing... the same feature... in a new & improved way. And especially during a holiday season where gobs and gobs of people are going to be spending money on tech and looking to fill their new smartphones with apps and such.
