When a venue's name changes, should I go into the venue page and use the "Edit Venue" feature, or create a new venue? My concern is that people who are searching for a concert that happened in the past would likely search for it under the former venue name, and by editing the venue the past concert would no longer appear under a search for that old venue name.
In the meantime, there are a number of future shows listed at "Element Nightclub" which is now called "Club 9one9", and there's already a duplicate show created with the correct venue name, and I'm not sure which one to flag.

Hey there,
So first up, it is correct that you 'edit' the venue name. Then to avoid the problem with people searching for former names, make sure you add the past name to the "Other names for this venue" section, under 'edit venue':

When a name is added here, it creates an alias for the venue which means that if people search for either the past name or the present name, the same venue will be returned :)
I've merged the duplicate Element and Club 9one9 venues for you, which means the duplicate events will have been merged too!
Give me a shout if you have any other questions at all. -
