Songza won't play songs from YouTube
In the last couple of hours Songza stopped playing my playlist items that are located on YouTube.
For example song:
http://songza.com/z/oo0a86
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcK2lF...
is still aviable on youtube.com but won't play in Songza.
I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.14, but the problem occurs also in IE 7.
It looks like the browser is trying to connect to gdata.youtube.com and after some time it hits the time out. I've tried to use FireBug to find the source of the error, and found out that requests made to gdata.toutube.com end with response "Developer key required".
The first request is sent to the following URL:
http://gdata.youtube.com/apiplayer?ke...
It receives a 302 (redirect) to:
http://gdata.youtube.com/apiplayer/cl...
which in turn receives HTTP 403 repsonse with "Developer key required" in body.

Yeah, I think there might have been a hiccup on YouTube's side. We are definitely sending the DEV_KEY. Glad to hear it's working again. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Inappropriate?For what it's worth, the problem is propably on the youtube's side of things. This topic might turn out helpful:

But for now there is no solution (or maybe the thing with sending dev_key in HTTP headers works?).

Inappropriate?Are you receiving the 'developer key required' error that was reported above? We do have a known issue with some browsers (Safari and IE) where YouTube songs will not play, though it doesn't seem to be affecting Firefox. We're looking into a solution for the browsers that are having difficulties, and hope to have it resolved soon.
