"Error on last sync: Soocial could not sync: Synchronisation is not enabled!"
Added home mac, added phone. Now trying to add work Mac but my work Mac is having none of it. See the screenshot of the pref pane below. I keep hitting sync now, but alas, no sync. I suppose I could sing it a song.
No, that's not working either.
hmmmm
What do I do!?

Our OSX developer has looked in to this problem and stated:
"This seems to be an apple bug that once got fixed and then, well, unfixed again. The issue is SyncServices not being "daemon safe", e.g. not being available when started from a daemon."
We will have to change the behavior of our OSX client to stop this from happening. Will take some time though.....
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Hey tim and others who have this problem.
It means iSync is turned off.
This is how you turn it on:
In the applications folder find iSync and double click.
In the menubar go to iSync - Preference
check the "Enable syncing on this computer"
Now Soocial should able to sync.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?I'm having this problem as well. Every time I open up iSync, I can see the soocial pref pane correctly start syncing, but once I close iSync it gives me the error as seen above.
Any word on the update of the OSX client behavior you mentioned?
I’m frustrated

Hi there, there is a new update that solves another bug that could be related. It's tricky to debug these issues as Apple is known to change Sync services internal workings. Make sure you have version 1.1 v4558 installed and let us know if it solves things for you. -
Inappropriate?Stefan,
Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately, I do have the latest version v4558 that you've indicated installed and that's the version I'm experiencing the issue with. If it helps at all, I don't use iSync with any other devices. Also, if I open up the Soocial pref pane and press the Sync now button manually, it does not get the error and syncs correctly. So, it looks as if the error is only happening on the auto-sync in the background, which is what I guess your Mac dev found in the above comment when he said it was an issue with the daemon (possibly?). -
Thank YOU for the quick reply! ;-) And also thanks for the clear problem description. I hope we can solve it quickly - we'll definitely try to reproduce the problem. Can you drop us an email at support@soocial.com with your Mac's specs and perhaps a screenie or copy/paste of your activity monitor? Thanks man! -
Inappropriate?Stefan,
I sent it, hopefully not too big, let me know if so. Didn't know how to link to this issue, so hopefully it doesn't get lost in the ethers. Thanks again! -
Inappropriate?rmiller,
you have the same issue as described above. We did not solve this with the last update. our Mac developer needs to work around the client not being "deamon safe"
Thanks for sending that stuff! -
Inappropriate?Any word on a solution to the above problem? I am experiencing the issue too.
