"Password incorrect" error during phone setup
Can't get past Step 1 of the phone setup when I try to add my Sony Ericsson P900 with Rogers Wireless. After choosing the phone, filling in all fields (number, provider and password) I get:
"Sorry, the password you provided was incorrect!"
The password field description says: "Please enter the password for your Soocial.com account.", and I made sure several times that's what I did, but no luck. My password is a strong password, containing plus sign (+) could it be that it's not recognized by this form for some reason?

Sorry about that. It does seem password related. I was able to reproduce this. We'll have to fix this.
Quick solution for you is to make a new password using the "forgot my password" option. If you make a password without the + or other non (alpha)numeric characters it should work.
It might take us a bit to fix it. -
OK, changing password to more simple selection did resolve the problem. I was able to add my phone. -

Inappropriate?I am also having this problem and have a password which is complex with capitalization and numbers but no punctuation. I am trying to add a Motorola RAZR V3, and get this message on the "Step 1 of 2", "Manual setup" screen when I hit the "Continue" button.
