AIM screenname deleted from contact in (local) Address Book after syncing with soocial
Screen names keep getting deleted from contacts in my Mac Address Book. This is repeatable.
Attempts to fix the problem keep getting wiped out. For example, I have several names in my buddy lists that are now not associated with contacts. To re-associate the screen name with a contact, I right click on contact in iChat buddy list, "show info", Address Card tab, click "Choose Card..." button, select the name, hit OK, then close the dialog box. Problem solved. Then, a couple hours later, I notice that the card and the screen name have become unassociated once again.
This is happening over and over for days now.
I went on to Soocial.com to add in the screen name there and I find that there is no place to add a screen name for chat. Could it be that Soocial keeps wiping this information away for some reason?

Sorry about that. It is a know issue. It won't be fixed until the next version of the OS X app is released. I'll give a quick explanation.
Every device or sends us a list of the fields it supports. Those are the fields we will send to that device. In that list for the OS X app. there is no AIM field listed. Whenever you add the AIM field to the Address Book it updates the contact to Soocial. Soocial responds by sending that contact back to the Address Book but takes out the AIM field.
So, it won't work. There is no use fighting it. Same for the Company field.
The next version of the App. will fix this and will be released early 2009 -

Inappropriate?Tim, the issues with the AIM fields being deleted should be solved. I took a quick look at your logs. Seem like the syncs are not finishing. I is another issue but might cause other problems. When you sync, what kind of feedbak do you see in the Soocial PrefPane?
