BlackBerry Sync; APN is not specified
He helden,
Bij het syncen van mijn BlackBerry Bold krijg ik de volgende fout:
"Network error: APN is not specified". Zegt dit jullie wat? Doe ik iets fout? Ik heb de versie van mijn OS gechecked en die was goed (4.6.0.247)

Martijn,
Are you able to use other apps on your BB that need an internet connection?
Basically you need to add the specific APN for your provider, being in the Netherlands for you it's probably:
Vodafone ->
- APN Name: blackberry.vodafone.nl
- Username: vodafone
- Password: vodafone
KPN & T-mobile ->
- APN Name: internet
- Username:
- Password:
Find your APN settings in Options > Avanced > TCP
I’m happy to help, and hopefully this solves it for you!

Inappropriate?Stefan / Bart,
Thanks for the quick reply. 'Enabling the APN' solved the problem. So my bad, sorry for that :) First time I'm using a BB.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Hi Stefan,
I have the same problem with my BB Bold 9000. I'm a Vodafone Germany user and I have no APN settings, that means APN is empty. I can use all apps on my BB. Configuration is done automatically. Vodafone said, the APN settings hould be empty.
Do you have an idea how to solve the problem?
Cheers

Inappropriate?Colair,
Go to "Settings -> Advanced Options -> TCP/IP" and enable the APN-Settings. This solved the problem for me. I hope it does for you too.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Thanks. The checkbox to enable the Settings is new. But then I have to type in APN username and password and that's the problem. Vodafone Germany doesn't provide this information because of an automatic configuration - normally I don't need this infos.
With enabled APN settings (w/o user + pass) I have this error:
Network error: Tunnel failed
@Soocial: any ideas? Do you know this problem? Are there other german Soocial users with a BB 9000 that already solved the problem?

Inappropriate?On my BB, it shows two checkboxes. Just check the first one and the second one remains unchecked. That solved it for me.
-
Inappropriate?Well, you are right, two checkboxes. I did it as you said, first checked, second unchecked and then I got the error I posted. Maybe a Soocial error.
I think now I need an answer from the Soocial team?
Thanks Martijn!
