British spelling = bad
"Organization" is spelled with a 'z' in the US. Americans really don't like seeing British spellings. You should either offer localization options, or spell words the way the larger and wealthier market spells them.

Inappropriate?Even though you might be right, do you even realize how incredibly arrogant your post sounds?
I’m flabbergasted by your reasoning

Inappropriate?Yes, and I apologize for the arrogance that it implied - I wrote the suggestion in a hurry. It happens to be a personal pet peeve of mine, but I wasn't intending to imply any negativity.
I'm just always surprised when someone writes programs or services that are targeted at a demographic (in this case, english-speaking internet users of which the majority are American) yet not localized for them. If my assumption was incorrect - and you are targeting British English speakers - then feel free to ignore my suggestion, and I'll either have to accept it or find another solution.
Although badly worded, my suggestion was meant simply to be marketing advice.
I’m backpedaling

Inappropriate? No worries Jordan, sorry if my reply was a bit strong. Thanks for trying to help us.
I think the most important thing is to be consistent. Having British (actually New Zealand) roots myself I tend to go for UK spelling - however there is plenty of other text in our webapp that has US spelling. Consistency in spelling unfortunately is one of the first things that suffers when trying to get software out.
So yeah I think you're right we should be consistent and yes we do target the US market (but also the UK market).
I’m glad you sound pretty cool after all

Inappropriate?being in New Zealand we use British English which i personally prefer way more than the US one, but i'm not gonna be insulted if i read the American spelling. so not really sure what's the fuss is all about :). get the important features and fixes done and then move onto something cosmetic such as spelling! :)
I’m amused this 'issue' come up
