Can Soocial synchronise Gmail contact groups?
Soocial looks great! But i'm wondering if it's able to sync with the different groups I have in my gmail contacts?
And for that matter, sync those groups with groups in the mac address book?

With the updates we pushed earlier today (see: http://blog.soocial.com/2008/8/28/sam...) that is possible, we sync Groups from Gmail to Addressbook, both ways.
Note though that groups in Addressbook or in Gmail will never be deleted by Soocial. If you want to delete an empty group you will have to do so manually.

Inappropriate?The groups sync is bit messy. In my Gmail, some of the groups got the new members from Mac Address book while deleting some of the older members. Luckily, all of the group members still exist in my Mac address book. I am crossing my fingers hoping that this will correct itself or else I have some extra work to do (like 5-6 hours) recreating my groups.

Inappropriate?I have groups in my Mac Address Book, but I don't see any evidence of the groups (or being able to create a new one) in the Soocial interface. Are they there?

Inappropriate?I've just stopped the syncronization with gmail!! It has created more than 200 empty groups in my gmail contacts and it will take me hours to delete them!!

Sorry about that. Are you syncing with Outlook? And have contacts that are part of multiple groups? Then that's a known issue.

Sorry it took me a while to respond. I just ran a test.
I have both Gmail and Address Book in sync with Soocial. Then I add a group to Gmail, and put a few of my contacts in that group. Then wait until Gmail synced with Soocial (I initiated it manually in the Soocial webapp.) After that a sync with Address Book brings the group and its contacts to the MAC. -
Inappropriate?It seems that the only groups that do not get synced are the gmail default ones. That's why I didn't see anything getting synced in regards to groups. I created some other groups, added some contacts, and they synced..
