Choosing which contacts sync to Highrise
The description for the Highrise sync engine says: "Integrate your Highrise contacts with your other connections. Optionally only public contacts will be synced."
By public contacts does it mean those that are tagged as 'Work' in the web app? If so then how is it optional to only sync work contacts, can all contacts be made to sync without marking them as work?

Inappropriate?Hey thecuriousfrog,
Right now the only way to get contacts in to highrise, is to give them the work label. We are working on making it possible to make a custom mapping per contact. Then you can decide what contact has to go where.
I’m happy

this is one of the best points

Inappropriate? It would be great if you could specify contacts other than work ones (perhaps custom groups). For example, I use Highrise with dealing with my web host, but this isn't a work contact.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Reading around in other support questions there has been mention previously of a method of specifying which tags will cause a particular engine to sync a contact. Granted most of the mentions of this are on threads 3 or 4 months old but hopefully it's still in the works.
I’m hopeful
