dedupe not working properly?
Hi there
I had to reinstall my outlook sync to get it working yesterday. Since reinstalling I have had loads of extra dupes in my Soocial contacts.
I have run a dedupe several times, but can see that the majority of my contacts now have duplicate entries. Is there a problem with your deduper? Is there anything you can do to save me from having to manually merge and delete all duplicates?

A bit of explanation is needed here. The deduper is meant for actual dupes that are cause by an uncompleted sync. It is very strict and pretty much only syncs actual duplicates. What you want Soocial to do is to merge contacts from different sources that have different data for the same people. We don't really have that yet. But we will make it. What we will do in the very near future is to make a different button in the webapp that will say something like "Yes merge all my contacts that have similar names" OSX Address Book has a similar feature.
So, I know that won't help you at this moment. But thank you for giving us this feedback, because of it things will be easier for future users.! -
